I cannot even remember how long it has been since I've played along in the tea room. Sooo sad! But I just couldn't resist Debbie's House and Home inspiration photo this week. Gorgeous!
Here's what I came up with.
I started this card by piecing together the plaid and floral, patterned papers; machine stitching an aqua-threaded, straight stitch around their edges; clear embossing the "happy FOR YOU" sentiment in the center of the floral, patterned paper...
and distressing all the edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks. The prepped piece was, then, adhered to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face. I, then, stamped the barn, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of aqua, patterned paper; watercolored it in shades of Moonlight White and Old Paper inks; hand cut it out; and adhered it, near center, over the plaid, patterned paper.
A gorgeous, aqua ribbon, wrapped around the card face, between the patterned paper connections, and tied in a bow, just left of center, and a few, ivory, quilled, paper buds, embellished by two, hand-cut, from patterned paper, leaves, complete the look.
Oh! And before I run, I'm so excited to tell you all that I made the Fab 4, for this creation, over at The Play Date Cafe...
and this beauty was up on the CREATE: Blog yesterday! In case you haven't heard, the folks behind CARDS, Scrapbook Trends, and Simply Handmade magazines have joined forces to form one fantastic blog called CREATE:. Thanks to all the ladies, who made these recognitions possible! My cup overflows!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
