Sketchy Thursdays

Good afternoon!  What a whirl of a week it has been!  I cannot believe that it is, already, Wednesday!  Storytime, at our local library, started back up, again, last week.  So, Adina is getting to enjoy hearing stories, rhyming, and singing, with a group of kiddos ages 18 to 36 months, every Wednesday morning.  Plus, Ezekiel is getting to fill his mind up with all kinds of fabulous, new fiction and nonfiction, alike.  Here's his stack for this week, and believe it or not, he'll have it all read in just a couple of days.

I have a sweet, little layout, of my baby girl, for you all, today.

I started this layout by machine stitching a red-threaded frame, approximately, 1-3/4" in from the outside edges of my patterned, paper page.

I, then, cut my pictures into 4" squares; rounded their corners; and adhered them, in a grid pattern, with the final square, in the bottom right corner, being from an aqua, plaid, patterned paper.  I LOVE the journaling oval, in the center of the layout, especially, that little touch of red, in the flower, which inspired all the red elements, from the stitching, to the "sooo SLEEPY", sticker title, to the red, Baker's Twine, on which part of my title hangs, to the patterned paper I used to create the large flower.

That large flower was stamped, on patterned paper, in Jet Black ink, three times; cut out in portions, which were adhered, with dimensionals, one on top of the other; glittered; and embellished with a couple, stamped, in Jet Black ink, on Wild Wasabi cardstock, leaves, which were dressed up with a few, clear, Rain Dots.  A November '08, date tab and mini clothespins, to anchor either side of the Baker's Twine line, complete the look...
