I started this layout by distressing the edges of the pink, plaid, patterned paper with Ivory White, acrylic paint and Tea Dye and Antique Linen ink; spritzing it with Crumb Cake and Basic Black inks; adhering it to the center of the kraft, patterned paper; and anchoring it with a black-threaded, straight, machine-stitch frame.
I, then, trimmed a piece of music, patterned paper, down its left side, with a strip of punched, Perfect Plum cardstock and machine stitched it, vertically, near the right edge of the distressed piece, with random, black-threaded, zig-zag stitches, before adhering my pics to a piece of kraft, polka dot, patterned paper and adhering it, horizontally, over all layers, just below center. A doily transparency was, then, tucked under its top center edge to create a backdrop for my "livin' for a lazy SATURDAY" title, which was created from alpha stickers and chips.
My journaling circle was distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; spritzed with water for an even more aged look; journaled upon with, Just hanging out listening to my brother's music and reading his books; glittered around its edges; and anchored, though its center, with a black brad.
A stamped, in Basic Black ink, dated October 02, postage stamp and a flag, sticker banner, embellished with purple buttons, laced with hemp twine, complete the look.
My inspiration for this layout came from Embellish's Color Trends Challenge With Music...
and JBS Mercantile's Sunday Star: Sketch Challenge.

And just because, a couple takes of my big kiddo, who got his very first, official library card yesterday...
and checked out this HUGE stack of books. He's growing up so fast!
Thanks so much for peeking in, ya'll! Have a great night!
