So, a special, little lady, that I know, is having a birthday early next week. She's just growing up way too fast and thinks she's about ten years older than she really is. LOL! She doesn't play much with the kinds of toys I loved at her age and is difficult to purchase clothes for. So, after much debilitating, I thought I'd get her her very own girly, address book and make a set of minis to go with it. Check them out!
Let's get up close and personal. Shall we?
I started this card by dry embossing a 2-3/4" square of Whisper White cardstock with the damask image; distressing its edges with Tea Dye ink; and machine stitching a turquoise-threaded, straight-stitch frame around its edges, before adhering it to the 3" square, Tempting Turquoise, cardstock, card face.
I, then, wrapped a red, gingham ribbon, vertically, around the center of the card face; tied it, in a bow, near the top edge of the card face; and embellished it with a Pure Poppy button, laced with Baker's Twine.
Finally, I die-cut my label from Whisper White cardstock; distressed its edges with Tea Dye ink; stamped the frame in Tempting Turquoise ink; and glittered the frame, before filling it with the stamped, in Barely Banana ink, flower and stamped, in Real Red ink, "YOU'RE IN MY Thoughts" sentiment.
It was, then, adhered, with dimensionals, just below the embellished bow, to complete the look. The only thing I changed up on my duplicates was the sentiment itself. I included "Sending my love", "Thanks FOR ALL THAT YOU DO", "May His light guide you in your hour of need", and "i love you". And again, the color is a bit off. I'm really trying to find that perfect, photographing hour now that the weather is getting warmer.
My inspiration for these cuties came from Waltzingmouse's Sketch Challenge #41...
and Melissa Phillips' Inspiration Photo Challenge.
