Welcome to Wplus9 Design's Color Cue {16}!
Talk about a color combo ripe for summer picking! Check out what it inspired me to create!
I started this card by machine stitching, with ivory-threaded, straight stitches, around the edges of a piece of red, star burst, patterned paper; tucking a punched strip of Elegant Eggplant cardstock under the right side of a strip of multi-colored, floral, patterned paper; adhering that bit near the right edge of the red, star burst, patterned paper; and machine stitching, again, with ivory-threaded, zig-zag stitches, down either of its long sides, before adhering the prepped piece to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
I then adhered a length of white lace, horizontally, across the bottom of the card face and wrapped a length of hemp twine, three times, over it, before tying it, in a double bow, near the right edge of the card face.
The large leaf image, from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions, was stamped, in Tempting Turquoise ink, on Whisper White cardstock; hand-cut out; distressed, around its edges, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; and adhered, with dimensionals, in the center of the prepped, card face. The "LOVE You" sentiment, from Spring Post, was stamped, in Real Red and Tempting Turquoise inks, on a Whisper White, cardstock die-cut from the All Occasion Label die; highlighted with the stamped, in Dusty Concord ink, frame from Brothers and Sisters; glittered; and adhered, in its respective location, with dimensionals, at the foot of the large, stamped leaf.
A trio of Pure Poppy buttons, laced with white string...
complete the look.
