SIT #75

Are you ready for Sketches in Thyme's Sketch #75?
I hope so, because it's here to stay ;).  Here's how I interpreted it.
I started this layout by stamping the neutral, diamond, base page, in stamped-off, Basic Grey ink, with the chevron pattern; adhering a trio of color-coordinating, distressed, patterned papers, one of which was punched down its left side, vertically, near the left side of the layout and another of which was anchored with both a length of Washi tape and a few gray-threaded, zig-zag stitches.  I then adhered a piece of cloud screen-print against the right center of the base page and tucked a red, polka dot, hand cut from patterned paper, tag under its middle, before anchoring it with more of those gray-threaded, zig-zag stitches.  After matting my pictures with Whisper White cardstock and adhering them in their respective locations, I used that tag as a backdrop for my "taking care of baby" title, which was created from mint, foam Thickers.
A couple, more, hand cut tags were then secured above and below the title tag.  The top one reads, "THOUSANDS OF LITTLE MOMENTS"; and the bottom one was used to journal, It is so fun to watch you mimic my taking care of Adina.  You tell everyone that you want to be a Daddy, when you grow up.  I think you'll be the BEST!
A little, gray-threaded, messy, machine stitching broadens the "BRAND NEW" subtitle, which is a cardstock sticker, lifted off the layout surface with foam tape, and which was framed with a glossy, mint, chipboard frame.  A couple of hemp twine bows and strategic stamping, in Basic Black ink, of bubbles, round out the bottom right corner.
Top top right corner received a trio of hand cut, from Basic Gray cardstock, pennants, around whose edges I penned a little, black edging; a mint tab, which I used to journal the Dec. 7, 2008 date; and another cluster of stamped bubbles.
A few, more, stamped bubbles, as well as a trio of hand cut, from that previously placed screen print, clouds, complete the look.
Further inspiration for this layout came from Scrap FIT's Workout #66...
and my April Jenni Bowlin kit.
