Embellish's Borders Color Challenge

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Like I said in my Weekend Goodness post, I've, also, got Embellish's Borders Color Challenge, for you, today.
Here's what I came up with.
I started this card by stamping the flower stems, in Certainly Celery ink, and the flowers, in Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink ink, on white cardstock.  I, then, adhered it to a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock, punched, across the bottom edge, with SU's Sale-A-Bration punch and trimmed, below, with a strip of Certainly Celery cardstock, punched, along its lower edge, with SU's Scallop punch.  A peach-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitch framed the flowers, before all layers were adhered to the Barely Banana, cardstock, card base, above the "Just want you to know how much your thoughtfulness is appreciated.", white embossed sentiment.  A little, white glitter from K&Company; a few, Paper Studio pearls, along the Certainly Celery, scallop strip; a peach ribbon, tied, around the card face, over the flower stems, in a bow; and a little distressing, around the edges of the card face, with Moonlight White, Brilliance, archival, pigment ink, complete the look.

{Supplies & Tools}
Stamps: Cheep Talk, Both Way Blossoms, & Kind & Caring Thoughts (SU) Paper: Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, & Certainly Celery (SU); white (Georgia Pacific) Ink: Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink, & Certainly Celery (SU); Moonlight White (Brilliance) Other: 2010 Sale-A-Bration & Scallop punches (SU); pearls (Paper Studio); ribbon (Hobby Lobby); peach thread & sewing machine; white glitter (K&Company); white embossing powder
