Oops-A-Daisy

The weekend is over, and we have begun our very last week of home school.  I cannot tell you how wonderful it feels to know that the fun-filled days of summer are just around the corner.  We've come a long way this year, and it has been an extremely tough year, but we aren't going to let it discourage us.  We're going to let it teach us and make changes, accordingly, to benefit Ezekiel's learning.  We're, also, not going to give up on training Ezekiel to become the man God has called him to be, despite how difficult he may make that training process.  His Word promises that our faithfulness and persistence will, one day, reap beautiful rewards, and we put our trust in just that.

I have one last Mother's Day card, for you all, today.  It was inspired by Melissa's Oops-A-Daisy photo challenge.
Here's what I came up with.
I, obviously, was, completely, drawn to the little bag of lemon slices on the right side of the photograph :).  I started this card by trimming the bottom of the colorful, citrus slices, patterned vellum, whose upper corners had been rounded, with a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock, which had been punched across its bottom edge.  I, then, stamped citrus slices, in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose inks, in a row, just above the punched edge; glittered them; and adhered the prepped papers to the Yoyo Yellow, cardstock, card face, which had its upper corners rounded and edges brushed with Moonlight White ink.  The "HAPPY Mother's Day" sentiment was white embossed in the top center of the vellum, whose top corners were anchored with yellow brads.  I, then, wrapped a yellow, gingham ribbon around the card face, between the two prepped papers; tied it in a bow; and embellished it with a white, flower button, tied to the bow's knot with white string.
Definitely, not your normal, everyday Mother's Day card... Huh?!  Have a fabulous week!
