Sketchy Thursdays & Reader's Choice Color Inspiration No. 1

I combined this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch challenge...

with Kristina Werner's Reader's Choice Color Inspiration No. 1...
to bring you all both a scrapbook page and a card.  Let's start with the page.
I started this page by layering varying length strips of patterned paper, boasting the colors in the inspiration photograph above, vertically, on the Pink Pirouette, textured, cardstock page.  I, then, machine stitched white-threaded, straight stitches down both sides of the connections, sometimes running over onto the cardstock itself.  A strip of Basic Gray cardstock was, then, punched down either side; layered, horizontally, over the patterned paper strips; and machine stitched with a white-threaded, zig-zag stitch, running over onto the patterned papers.  After the photos were adhered, I added a "{peek-a-boo}" title, with white, foam Thickers, above them and a length of blue twill across the tops of them.  Last, but, certainly, not least, I layered a gray button on top of a pink, flower button and laced them with white string, wrapped around the twill, and tied in a bow.
With a few of the leftover goodies, I made a card for a good friend.
I started her card by, again, layering varying length strips of the same patterned papers, vertically, onto the Pretty in Pink, cardstock, card face.  I, then, added a punched, across the top and bottom, strip of Basic Gray cardstock, horizontally, over the patterned papers.  The Basic Gray strip had been white embossed with the "Tickled Pink" sentiment; machine stitched with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches; and embellished with a row of gemstones.  A pink, gingham ribbon was, then, wrapped around the card face; tied, in a bow, to the left of the sentiment; and dressed up with a gray button, laced with white string.  Finally, in place of the machine stitching between paper connections, I paper pierced a few of the strips across their tops and bottoms.

I'm, also, turning these projects in for Wee Memories' Challenge #6: The Color Pink & Embellishments.

Well, I've got a baby to get dressed, a grocery list waiting to be completed, a bed that needs to be made, and a heap of yard sale stuff waiting to be priced.  I'm soooo terrible at that!  Any advice?

Pricing for a garage sale. Keep it mostly under $2 for everything! The goal of a garage sale is to get rid of things that you don't want in your house anymore and the best way to do that is to price it all CHEAP! People will eat it up! And remember when selling and pricing...you don't want it anymore. Let go of your stuff!

I like to make a sign for all of the clothes:
Short Sleeve - 50 cents
Long Sleeve - 75 cents
Pants - $1
And so on...

I also like to make signs for things you might have a lot of: Mugs 50 cents (example)

Then I also like to have an Everything is 10 cents table. This way you don't have to price all of the little things!!

Good luck!
