Aaaaah! Today has been a super awful day! Ezekiel has been... well... his most evil self, and Adina's pediatrician says she has a double ear infection. Really?! I don't think that I can take any more disappointment. I really need a nap. We've been up, with Adina, the last two nights. Before I run try to get some rest and perspective, I've got this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch for you all.
I, totally, have to give Melinda Spinks credit for this idea. She's been doing a lot of different styles of paper rolling on her blog, recently, and I just had to try it out. If you get a minute, go check out the link to her blog above. She is, completely, amazing!
The paper-rolled circle was, then, adhered in the cut away circle of the pink, floral, patterned paper and the green striped and floral, patterned, paper rectangles were adhered in that order. I machine stitched a white-threaded, straight stitch around the edges of the floral, patterned paper, before adhering, and machine stitching a white-threaded, zig-zag stitch down the center of, the checkered, patterned paper. I, then, adhered a punched strip of Orchid Opulence cardstock, just below the zig-zag stitching.
Paper: Orchid Opulence & all patterned (SU) Other: felt, Pretty Posies buttons (Favorite Findings); yellow buttons (Paper Studio); white string; yellow alpha stickers (sei); white thread & sewing machine; 2010 Sale-A-Bration punch (SU)
