Tuesday Trigger: Inspiration That's in the Bag

Saturday, May 8, 2010

I've got Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: Inspiration That's in the Bag, for you all, this beautiful, Saturday morning.
I used this photograph as inspiration for a Mother's Day card for my sister Jamie.  Here's what I came up with.
I started this card by stamping polka dots, in Moonlight White ink, on a piece of Garden Green cardstock; punching it, across its bottom edge, with SU's Scallop punch; and adhering it to the Green Gable, cardstock, card face, which had its top, left corner rounded.  I, then, stamped the "HAPPY Mother's Day" sentiment, in Garden Green ink, in the upper, right corner of the card face and distressed the edges of everything with Moonlight White ink.  The flowers were stamped, in Rose Red ink, on white cardstock and coated with white glitter.  Their centers were stamped in Garden Green and Green Gable inks.  They were, then, hand cut out; and the outside two were adhered, to the card face, just at their centers.  Finally, the middle flower was popped off the card face with dimensionals, and all of their centers were embellished with a few dots of red Stickles.
I, also, made these cards with The Shabby Tea Room's Get Your Bling On challenge, to create a card or project using glitter and lots of it, in mind.

I'm off, with my family, to our town parade; but I'll be back, tomorrow, with another Mother's Day card.  Have a wonderful, Mother's Day weekend!
