Tuesday Trigger: Poolside Inspiration

Monday, May 3, 2010

Today, I've got my take on Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: Poolside Inspiration for you all.
Here's what I came up with.
We've got this amazing neighbor, who has been so wonderful to take care of our pups, while we're not home, to whom this card was delivered.  Summer and Sophie love him so much, that they appear let down, when we're the ones that come through the front door.  Maybe they don't get the attention they deserve, with two kiddos in our house, but they sure are loved :).

Anyway, I started this card by stamping polka dots, in Moonlight White ink, on a piece of aqua cardstock.  I, then, clear embossed the "you're too kind" sentiment, in the bottom, right corner, and machine stitched a deep-green-threaded, straight stitch all around its edges, before adhering it to the Old Olive, cardstock, card face.  The leaf image was stamped, in Old Olive ink, on a white, cardstock square and framed with a piece of ivory cardstock, which had been stamped, in Close to Cocoa ink, with some great texture.  Both the white and ivory, cardstock squares were framed with deep-green-threaded, straight stitches, before being adhered to the top center of the aqua cardstock.  Finally, I embellished with a little twine, wrapped around the card face, twice, over the bottom of the focal point squares and tied in a bow, and a green, metal clip, attached to the upper, right side of the card face.
Thanks for stopping by, today, and may your week be filled with kindness!
