CAS-tastic Challenge - Father's Day

Monday, June 21, 2010

Good morning, ya'll!  I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend!  The current CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge is Father's Day, so I've got one more (I promise!) Father's Day card, for you all, today.
I started this card by stamping the "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY" sentiment, in Chocolate Chip ink, in the bottom right corner of the Chocolate Chip, cardstock, card face, which had been distressed with Moonlight White ink and had its upper corners rounded.  I, then, set it aside and stamped, in Moonlight White ink, one of the medallions, on a strip of Brocade Blue cardstock, and clear embossed a, slightly, different medallion, right over the top of it.  A brown-threaded, straight, machine stitch was sewn across its bottom edge, before it was adhered, to the card face, above the sentiment.  Finally, I wrapped a So Saffron, grosgrain ribbon around the card face, along the top edge of the stamped, Brocade Blue cardstock; made a couple loops; and secured its center with a brown, screwdriver button, laced with hemp twine.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
