Color Combos Galore #146

I've got my take on Color Combos Galore #146, for you all, today.
I used one of Becky Fleck's April sketches as inspiration...
and came up with this.
I started this layout by adhering the paisley, patterned, paper strip down the left side of the layout; trimming it, down its right side, with a punched strip of Pale Plum cardstock; and machine stitching a light-purple-threaded, straight stitch down its left edge.  I, then, layered a taupe, patterned paper, into which I had machine stitched light-purple, straight stitches, horizontally, across the center of the page, before adding pictures and a box flower embellishment.
The box flower was made from distressed and punched, Pale Plum cardstock; punched, phone book pages; and pearls.
I started this page by hand cutting a circle from a chain, patterned paper; trimming it with punched, Pale Plum, cardstock circles; and adhering it to the left edge of the Bordering Blue, cardstock page.  I, then, layered a strip of taupe, patterned paper, horizontally, the length of the layout; trimmed it, on its right side, with a small piece of the paisley, patterned paper; and machine stitched a light-purple-threaded, straight stitch around its top, bottom, and right edges.  The title was made by cutting exerpts from an extra one of Adina's baby dedication bulletins, adhering them to a chipboard tag, and sanding and distressing their edges with Chamomile and Chai inks.  I, also, embellished it with a sheer, ivory ribbon, tied in a dressy bow, before adhering it, at an angle, to the top of the layout.
After adhering the pictures, I slipped a distressed, ivory, cardstock, journal box, which reads, What a super special Mother's Day this was!  I picked out a sweet, purple dress just for your day, and you looked, absolutely, radiant in it.  Grandpa and Grandma Green and Grandpa and Grandma Newlin came to church with us, and your Aunt Jana and her family blessed us with a surprise visit.  You were dedicated to the Lord and prayed over by Don Mardock.  Afterward, we celebrated with a yummy dinner at Zios, under their right edges.
Finally, I embellished with more box flowers; lots of pearls; and an "Our pride and joy", adhesive, glitter transfer.  But I needed just one more page to finish scrapping all of Adina's, sweet, baby dedication pictures.
Another hand cut, chain, patterned, paper circle, trimmed with punched, Pale Plum, cardstock circles, as well as a strip of taupe, patterned paper, with more light-purple-threaded stitches, dress up this Bordering Blue, cardstock page.  You'll, also, find more, pearl embellishments; handmade, box flowers...
and a "cute as a button", adhesive, glitter transfer.
I'm off to put away some laundry and get lunch for my kiddos.  Hope you all have a fantastic, summer day!
