Card Style Week: Clean & Graphic

Friday, July 16, 2010

Cath, over at Moxie Fab World, has issued us several challenges, this week, to celebrate Paper Crafts' release of Card Style magazine.
I'm hoping to be able to submit a creation for each style, but let's take it one day at a time, beginning with Clean and Graphic.  Here's what I came up with for one of Ezekiel's little friends' birthday parties tonight.
I started this card by layering that fantastic, gray and white, graphic, patterned paper near the bottom of the Bordering Blue, cardstock, card face.  I, then, added a strip of airplane, patterned paper, just above; trimmed it, across its top edge, with a strip of punched, Tempting Turquoise cardstock; and machine stitched a white-threaded, straight stitch through its center.  A length of white string was, then, wrapped around the card face, three times, over the gray and white, graphic, patterned paper, and tied in a bow to the left side of the card face.  The "HB2U" sentiment was, then, created from a variety of mediums.  The "H" came from an alpha, ticket sticker.  The "B" was stamped, in Bordering Blue ink, right on the card face itself.  The "2" is a black, puffy Thicker; and finally, the "U" is a puffy, alpha sticker, which was placed in the center of a Cricut-cut, Summer Sun, cardstock star, which had been embellished, with Dessert Sun gemstones, at each of its points.
We've got another full weekend planned, but I'll be back, for sure, by Monday morning, with more, paper, eye candy.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a fantastic weekend!
