Scrapville's Card Sketch Challenge & Card Style Week: Fun & Cute

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

I've got my take on Scrapville's July Card Sketch Challenge, for you all, today.
I combined it with Moxie Fab World's Card Style Week: Fun & Cute and came up with this.
What's cuter than a 3-1/2" square card with a bunny and a bow on it?!  I started this card by machine stitching white-threaded, straight stitches around the edges of the playful, patterned paper; adhering it to the Old Olive, square, cardstock, card base; and wrapping an orange, striped ribbon around the center of the card face, tying it in a bow to the card face's left side, and embellishing it with a carrot button, laced with white string.  The image and "ears wishing you a happy day!" sentiment were, then, stamped, in Jet Black ink, on white cardstock; cut out with my circle template; water colored in shades of So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Pretty in Pink; and had its edges distressed with Old Olive and Chamomile inks.  I, then, trimmed its edges with punched, green, polka dot, glitter paper and adhered it, with dimesionals, to the center of the card face, over the patterned paper, and to the right of the ribbon bow.
