Three in One

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

It is a day for firsts!  I believe this is the first time that BOTH of my kiddos have ever slept until nearly 8 am at the same time, and they're still sleeping!  It is, also, the first time that I've ever put together a three-in-one-challenge card; but that's, exactly, what I did, for you all, today.  I combined Off the Wall Craftiness' Color Inspiration Challenge #15 (Scrumptious!)...
with 2 Sketches 4 You's Sketch 56...
and, last, but certainly not least, Sarah Martina's Fruity Challenge, to incorporate something "fruity" into your design, and came up with this gem.
I started this card by machine stitching messy, aqua-threaded, straight stitches in a circular pattern in the bottom, left corner of the multi-colored, heart, patterned paper.  I, then, adhered it to the Pumpkin Pie, cardstock, card face and trimmed its right edge with a teal, polka dot, patterned, paper strip, which had been trimmed with the scalloped, orange slices.  The orange slices were stamped, side by side, in Pumpkin Pie ink, on a strip of white cardstock, hand cut out to form the scalloped edge, and glittered.  The orange ribbon was, then, wrapped between the orange slices and teal, polka dot, patterned paper; tied in a bow; and embellished with an aqua button, laced with white string, tied in a bow.
Finally, the "happy EVERYTHING" sentiment was stamped, in Moonlight White ink, on a strip of Taken With Teal cardstock; adhered over all layers, just below the ribbon bow; and paper pierced, with three columns, through its right edge.
I'm off to get a few, more things done, before the kiddos wake up.  Have a super, fantastic Wednesday!

Jinny this is just perfect! I love how you incorporated the circular element by using the stitching - genius! And your oranges look good enough to eat! Thanks so much for joining us for the *Fun & Fruity* Challenge with Cupcards {To Go}!
