Wee Memories & CAS-tastic Wednesday Summer Challenges

Wee Memories' Summer Fun Challenge and CAS-tastic Wednesday's Inspired by Summer Challenge, naturally, went hand-in-hand for the next, card take, that I have, for you all, today.  Here's what I came up with.
I started this card by stamping the beach ball image, in Taken With Teal ink, the sunglasses image, in More Mustard ink, and the popsicle image, in Real Red ink, several times, on a piece of ivory cardstock.  I, then, machine stitched red-threaded, straight stitches around its edges; distressed its edges with Chamomile and Chai inks; trimmed it, across the bottom, with a patterned, paper banner; and adhered it to the Real Red, cardstock, card face.
The pinwheels were made from 1-1/2" squares of Lovely Lilac, Real Red, Taken With Teal, and More Mustard cardstocks; adhered over the stamped paper in a square, grid pattern; and anchored, in the centers, with More Mustard brads.  Finally, I wrapped a Plum Pudding, saddle stitch ribbon, around the card face, between the stamped and patterned papers; tied it in a bow to the left side of the card face; tucked an "a note for you" sentiment, stamped in Real Red ink on ivory cardstock and hand cut out, under its top right edge with dimensionals; and embellished it with a Pure Poppy button, laced with hemp twine.
What says summer better than pinwheels and popsicles?!  This beauty just so happens to be featured on CARDS Blog, today, as well.  Eeek!  Thanks, Paige!

And before I run, look what my husband brought home, for me, at lunch today!
It's Joyce Meyer's Hearing From God Each Morning devotional.  He had a 40% off coupon from Borders and thought of me!  Me!  Thanks, Baby!  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Oh my, this is an absolute fabulous creation. So bright and cheery and brings me back to when I was little and pinwheels actually weren't banned from the stores! Are they back yet, I don't know... but wow, so fun!
