Embellish Quirky, Cutesy, & Clean Color Challenge & Sketchy Thursdays

Adina is, still, down for her nap.  Ezekiel is outside enjoying the stretch of gorgeous weather we've been having.  I've got two apple pies in the oven, and I'm all situated to bring you Embellish Magazine's Quirky, Cutesy, and Clean Style Color Challenge...
which I combined with Sketchy Thursdays' latest CARD sketch.
Here's what I came up with.
I started this card by stamping the background images, in Moonlight White ink, on the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.  I, then, stamped the cake, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of ivory cardstock; watercolored it in shades of Blush Blossom, Sage Shadow, and Pumpkin Pie; glittered the frosting layers and candles; embellished it with a few pearls; framed it with a piece of Sage Shadow cardstock; and adhered it to the left side of the stamped, Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
The "the more candles the bigger the wish!" sentiment was stamped, in Basic Black ink, on ivory cardstock; framed with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock; adhered, to the card face, flush with the right side of the card face and overlapping the stamped, ivory cardstock; and paper pierced with a row of dots down the length of its right side.
A length of ivory lace, adhered across the bottom of the framed, cake image, and a peach bow, wrapped around the card face, just above the length of lace, and tied in a bow to the left side of the card face, complete the look.
Making apple pies, also, makes for a messy kitchen.  So, I'm off to do some cleaning.  If this is your first time stopping by, today, please, also, be sure to scroll down to my previous, The Color Room #20 post.  I'm still looking for that recipe :).  Thanks for visiting me, and have a fantastic day!

This is awesome! I know it's just a tiny detail, but I think I love the lace accent the most! It's such a perfect finishing touch! Thanks for playing along with us at Embellish! Hugs from Denmark!
