Pencil Lines Sketch 200 & CCG #155

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

The weather was, simply, beautiful, around our place, this morning.  I'm slowly getting my energy back, and while Ezekiel was doing his studies, I was able to get Adina outside to enjoy it.  Poor baby is, really, struggling with these ickies; but being outside, especially, while the weather is cooperating, seems to be a welcome distraction.  We were still playing, when Ezekiel came out, to the picnic table, to do his seatwork pages.  Matter of fact, when BJ got home, for lunch, we were still outside, so we had to have a little picnic.  I cannot tell you how ready I am for this gorgeous, cooler weather to stick around!

In celebration of their 200th sketch...
Pencil Lines joined forces with Color Combos Galore #155.
Too fun!  Here's what I came up with.
I started this page by adhering the two strips of patterned paper, at opposite angles, just below center, on the Old Olive, cardstock page and machine stitching a brown-threaded, straight-stitch length across the upper, patterned paper's top edge and two, brown-threaded, straight-stitch lengths across the bottom, patterned paper's bottom edge.
After adhering pictures, I embellished with a length of artisan tape between the two, patterned papers; a white, chipboard, Thickers, "DINNER" title, just below the artisan tape and right of center; and a hand-cut, from patterned paper, heart, adhered in the far right photo's upper right corner.
Finally, I journaled, I don't know if it was the fresh air, really, helping you work up an appetite or what, but you were so excited about dinner, after a long day of hiking, fishing, and playing with Grandpa and Grandma Green and your cousin, Madison, while camping at Lake Melvern.  Grandma was non-stop laughing, in Chocolate Chip ink, around the edges of the layout and distressed it with Moonlight White ink.

Thanks for stopping by, bloggers!  Have a super night!
