Prepared Etsy Customer

Sunday, September 5, 2010

Oh, gracious!  I've been meaning to show you these card sets for the longest time.  So much busyness in my life, lately!  Anyway, I worked overtime on this gorgeous display of personalized stationary for a super, prepared, Etsy customer.  She's giving them, to her family members, as Christmas gifts.
Each design was duplicated five times over and packaged up, with envelopes, for delivery.
Let's take a little closer look at each set.
I started this card by machine stitching white-threaded, straight stitches around the edges of the patterned, glitter paper and adhering it to the Old Olive, cardstock, card face.  A sheer, olive ribbon was, then, wrapped around the card face.  I, then, stamped the Cricut-cut, ivory, cardstock oval, in Old Olive ink, with a decorative frame image; hand wrote, per customer request, in its center, the recipient's last name in Old Olive ink; framed it with a Cricut-cut, Old Olive, cardstock oval; and adhered it, with dimensionals, over the ribbon, in the center of the card face.
Finally, I threaded two, ivory, pearlized buttons with hemp twine and wrapped them, on either side of the framed name, around the ribbon.
I started this card by stamping the butterflies and polka dots, in Pretty in Pink and Real Red inks, on a piece of white cardstock.  I, then, machine stitched red-threaded, straight-stitch corners in all four corners; distressed its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; wrapped a length of pink trim around its center; embellished it with a length of hemp twine, wrapped around the card face, twice, and tied in a bow, just left of center, as well as a Pure Poppy button, laced with white string; and adhered it, with dimensionals, to the Real Red, cardstock, card face.
Finally, I stamped the frame, in Pretty in Pink ink, on white cardstock; hand wrote, in its center, the recipient's last name in Real Red ink; hand cut it out; and adhered it, with dimensionals, just to the right of the button, in the center of the card face.
I started this card by stamping the cherry images, in Real Red and Old Olive inks, on a piece of white cardstock; machine stitching a red-threaded, straight-stitch frame around its edges; dressing it, just above center, with a length of red, gingham trim; and wrapping a length of white string, twice, around the center of the trim and tying it in a bow, just to the left of center, before adhering it, with dimensionals, to the Bashful Blue, cardstock, card face.
I, then, stamped the frame, in Bashful Blue ink, on white cardstock; hand wrote the recipient's last name, in the center, in Real Red ink; hand cut it out; adhered it, with dimensionals, in the center of the trim, just to the right of the string bow; and embellished it with blue gemstones.
I started this card by stamping the flower images, in Azurite and Chocolate Chip inks, on a piece of white cardstock; machine stitching a brown-threaded, straight-stitch frame around its edges; and adhering it to the Chocolate Chip, cardstock, card face.
I, then, wrapped a color-coordinating ribbon, vertically, around the card face and embellished it with a stamped, in Chocolate Chip ink, on Baja Breeze cardstock, and punched frame, which, also, had the recipient's last name written, in its center, in Chocolate Chip ink, as well as an aqua button, laced with white string, just below the frame.
All the details, for this final, card set, can be found here.
Thank you so much for trusting me with these gifts, Glenda!  I know that your family members will see and feel how very much they're loved by you!  Have a fantastic Labor Day, everyone!  We'll be off to the apple farm, with some family friends, come morning.  Can't wait!
