KC Pumpkin Patch

Sunday, October 3, 2010

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday!  Ours has been very relaxing, so far, between church; a little, shopping trip to Wal-Mart; a quick stop to pick up a pizza on the way home; and a family nap time.  With the exception of Ezekiel, we're all just so wiped out, by Sundays, from our, busy weeks; but I wanted to stop, in here, for a bit, to show you all a few, fun pictures from our trip, to the KC Pumpkin Patch, on Friday.  We started the cool, crisp, fall morning off by slipping into our new tennies.
Both the kids were so excited about their new shoes, which we purchased last weekend, that they had to carry their own bags on the way out of Target.  I captured Adina struggling to carry hers.  Too cute!
Then, we joined a group of our home school friends, at the patch, to play.  We pushed ducks down canals with old, water pumps...
and bounced on the jumping pillow.  I'd never seen one of these before, but the kids had so much fun.  The little kids got to go first.  Adina had a hard time climbing to the top with all the bouncing, but when their turn was over, and all the little ones had exited to the sandy sides, Adina took off running all over the top with the biggest smile on her face.  I had to chase her down.  It was the funniest thing ever!  I'm telling you, this girl has personality!
Then, while the big kids had their turn...
the little ones looked on in wonder.
We, also, had a fun ride on the tractor train...
took a lap around the tricycle track...
visited the farm animals...
excavated dinosaur bones, scaled the climbing wall, tackled the hay bale maze, dug in the corn crib, mined for gold...
and had lots of time to play on the slides, just to name a few things...
before lunch and a hay rack ride, to the patch, to pick out our pumpkins.
Here's a picture of the whole group with their chosen pumpkins.
We finished the day up with a scrumptious, pumpkin, pancake dinner.  Yum-O!  What a way to begin October!  Thanks for sharing such a fun time with us!  Hope to see you all back here, tomorrow, for the beginning of Wplus9 Design's countdown to release.  (Actually, it all begins at 11 pm tonight my time.)  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
