What a crazy week it has been!  I just feel like we've been running all over the place.  Adina had her two-year checkup this morning.  She was the cutest, little thing walking, through the halls, to get weighed and measured, in her polka dot undies and cowgirl boots.  She will not take those things off!  Her weight is, completely, average, for her age; but, evidently, she's a shortie.  She ranked in the 14th percentile, so her pediatrician had her measured again, but it came out the same.  Who knows?!  Maybe she'll outgrow it, or maybe she'll just be short.  We'll love her either way!

Okay, enough about us, I've got a card, for you all, today.
I started this card by adhering the burgundy, damask, patterned paper to the Basic Black, cardstock, card face; adding a strip of black, polka dot, patterned paper, horizontally, just above center; and machine stitching a white-threaded, straight stitch around its outside edges and white-threaded, zig-zag stitches across the top and bottom edges of the black, polka dot, patterned paper.
I, then, adhered a portion of a burgundy, floral tag, which had been laced with crinkled, white, seam binding ribbon and tied in a dressy bow, above the black, polka dot, patterned paper...
and a length of Raven, lace trim, below it, before stamping the "You make days brighter and life sweeter" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, in the bottom left corner of the card face.
The white, paper doily was stamped, in Jet Black ink, with bumblebees, which were colored, lightly, with Barely Banana and Bordering Blue inks, and glittered; distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; and wrapped around the right side of the card face.
A little, black, country flower; pearl stick pin; and black and white, polka dot brad, complete the look.
This card, for a special, little niece of mine, was inspired by The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #53.
Thanks, as always, for looking my way!  I'm off to finish the laundry, clean up the lunch dishes, check Ezekiel's schoolwork, sweep the floor, and... Well, I'll just save you all the agony :).  Oh!  But before I run, lookie what I discovered, just before lunch.
I made Embellish's What's Hot list for this card!  Thanks, ladies!  Eeeek!  Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!
