Sketchy Thursdays & CCG #163

Monday, November 22, 2010

Well, I'm back, as promised, in my earlier, Christmas Came Early post, with a little something papercrafty, just for those of you that like that sort of thing ;).
I started this layout by machine stitching, with black-threaded, straight stitches, the aqua, floral, patterned paper in the bottom right corner of the textured, red cardstock, which had been distressed with Moonlight White ink.  I, then, layered the black, polka dot, and decorative, striped, patterned paper, vertically, along with a punched strip of textured, Not Quite Navy cardstock, near the right side of the layout and anchored them with a few, back-and-forth, black-threaded, zig-zag stitches.
My pictures were cut into 3-1/2" squares and displayed in a grid pattern, along with a black, chain, and a distressed, aqua, patterned paper, as well as a Not Quite Navy, cardstock square, over all existing layers, in the bottom right corner.  A "dreams", die-cut tag; Prima flower...
red, polka dot, die-cut heart, which was anchored with a few, back-and-forth, black, zig-zag stitches; and an alpha sticker, "a brother's love" title, complete the look.
My inspiration, for this layout, came from Sketchy Thursdays' current sketch...
and Color Combos Galore's Inspiration Board #163...
as well as my November Jenni Bowlin loot!
This little goody, accidentally, got left out of the kit; but Jenni and Jared were right on top of it and got it sent out, to us, as soon as they realized the mistake.
