Another RetroGirly Christmas

Monday, December 6, 2010

It was a busy, yard-work weekend at our house.  We raked leaves, another six bags full; and believe it or not, there are, still, a few leaves left on the trees.  Ick!  We, also, braved the freezing temperatures to clean out the gardens and hang the outside, Christmas lights.  Fortunately, we had a big pot of Mulled Cider, courtesy of Paula Deen, of course, to warm our insides, after the jobs were done.
I made this cutesy, little, five-card, card set, complete with envelopes, for an Etsy customer and just had to show you all.  Here's the single-card details.
I started, this card, by printing the "Just a note..." sentiment, in black ink, on Whisper White cardstock.
I, then, stamped the RetroGirly image, in Jet Black ink, just to the right of the sentiment, and colored her with Baja Breeze, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, and Pretty in Pink inks and a blender pen.  Her bags were dressed up with, from left to right, a stamped, in Old Olive ink, "S" (customized for the recipient); avocado paper, which was, in turn, glittered; olive, text, patterned paper; and rose, polka dot, patterned paper.
I, then, trimmed it, across the bottom edge, with a  punched piece of color-coordinating, striped, patterned paper, before adhering it to the Old Olive, cardstock, card face.  An Enchanted Evening, saddle stitch ribbon was wrapped around the card face, between the two, prepped papers, and tied, in a bow, just left of center.
A tiny, clear gemstone, which embellishes RetroGirly Christmas' hair bow, completes the look.
I'm, also, so excited, to tell you all, that I was named an Inspiration Challenge Winner, at Jenni Bowlin Studio, for this layout.  Eeek!  So excited to get to add a little of my, very own, product picks to my monthly kit.  Yippeee!  Thanks, ladies!  Have a wonderful week, everyone!
