Weekend Happenings

What a fun and full weekend we had!  It all began, on Friday night, with a grown-up, holiday party for BJ and I.  Then, on Saturday morning, we headed over to Crown Center.  Our first stop was the Crayola store.  It's our favorite!
Ezekiel loves being tested on questions about crayons and seeing the real crayon maker, while Adina enjoys her time at the art table.
After a couple more stops, at some, more, fun shops, we enjoyed lunch at Fritz's.
The food, to put it nicely, wasn't much to speak of, but the novelty of the trains was super fun!
All the kiddos squealed with delight, when one of the trains brought lunch to their table.  So fun!
Believe it or not, that pretty much ended the day for us.  We had to wait in line for almost 30 minutes to get seated in Fritz's, and the hallways were packed, with people, between shops; but on our way out, I just had to snap a couple pictures of these paper crafted beauties.  So inspired!
Sunday morning, we woke up to about an inch and a half of snow on the ground and braved the two degrees below zero wind chills to teach Sunday school.  We had 22 kiddos and five adults, so it was super relaxing.  So much so, that I, actually, sat down, with the kiddos, and colored an entire picture!
A family nap; an early Awana Club; a view of the Chiefs getting slaughtered, thanks, in part, to our quarterback needing an emergency appendectomy early last week; as well as a hot bowl of Spinach and White Bean Soup and a steamy mug of Spiced Cider, finished our weekend.  That is... if you don't count the frozen pipes we woke up to this morning.  Ugh!  Only one more week of school!  Then, we'll be busy delivering Christmas packages, baking up all sorts of Christmas treats, and hopefully, playing in a little snow, depending on if the weather warms up, even, just a bit.  Have a wonderful week, everyone!

I LOVE Fritz's!! So fun! I can't wait to take Brody there when he is a little older! He loves trains! Sounds like we were in the same place close to the same time! My cousin lives in the P&L district!
