ColourQ #66

Friday, January 7, 2011

It's another day, and I think that we're having a post holiday, crash party at my house.  All the lights were out by 9 pm last night, but only because I wanted to stay up to watch Grey's.  Everyone else was asleep by 8 pm.  We just feel wiped out.  TGIF!  Anyway, I have a layout, for you all, today.
I started this layout by adhering the soft yellow, polka dot, and aqua, notebook, patterned papers near the left side of the distressed, aqua, patterned, paper base and anchoring them with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
I, then, trimmed their right edges with a punched strip of yellow, pinwheel, patterned paper and embellished the space between them with a length of black trim, dressed with a little hemp twine, laced with a yellow, duckie, chipboard tag, which I distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks and journaled the words Anticipated, Accepted, Adorable on, and tied in a bow.
A hint of a white, paper doily...
a "Little One", title, sticker tag, embellished with a black, Vintage-Style button, laced with more, hemp twine, and a little, 1 day old journaling, below the tag, complete the look.
My color inspiration, for this layout, came from ColourQ's Challenge #66.  Yum-O!
Thanks, as always, for stopping by my little corner of the web.  I'll be back, tomorrow morning, with a brand new, Wee Memories, Scrappy Saturday Challenge.  Until then, have a fantastic start to your weekend, ya'll!  Oh!  And I, almost, forgot, to tell you all, that this pretty, little creation was featured on CREATE:, for Paige's Banners Challenge, yesterday!  Thanks so much, Paige!  You should really go check out all the banners cards, when you have the opportunity.  They're super fantastic!
