Well, good morning!  And welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #65!
Our sponsor, for this week, is Cosmo Cricket...
with a prize package of a 6" x 6" mini deck from their Joy Ride collection.
I just knew, when I saw the colors for this week, that I had to pull some pictures of my big kiddo and put them into a layout.  Check it out!
I started, this layout, by dry embossing and distressing, with Moonlight White ink, the Bordering Blue cardstock in the center of the layout and trimming the right edges of the far right photograph and green, number, patterned, paper rectangle with a punched strip of notebook, patterned paper.  After adhering all photos and paper pieces to the textured, Whisper White, cardstock base, I machine stitched, with green-threaded, straight and zig-zag stitches, around the outside edges of each paper piece.
I, then, adhered a "FEAST" bingo card, in the center of the orange, distressed, pattered paper, to create part of the title and completed it with green and orange, "on chocolate", alpha stickers.  A length of green, rick-rack anchors it all.
The 8.7.08 date was written, in Bordering Blue ink, on a piece of Bordering Blue cardstock and framed with silver, Hodgepodge Hardware, laced with white string, which was, in turn, wrapped around the layout and tied, in a bow, to the left side of the frame.  An orange, corduroy brad and green, Vintage-Style button, laced with white string, as well as a little, paper and ink, with Old Paper Distress Ink, distressing, complete the look.
You have until Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 11:59 pm EST, to link up your projects.  I'm, really, looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this go around!  I was so impressed with all of your creations last week... So impressed!  Please, be sure to stop by to see all of the other designers' creations, before you're off to having a terrific Thursday!  And thanks so much for peeking in!
