TSTR #42

Sunday, January 2, 2011

Good morning!  We're off celebrating at my sister-in-law's wedding shower, but I made a pretty, little, baby, girl card and wanted to show you all.  So, I've got another, scheduled post coming your way, today, on this chilly, Sunday morning.
I started this card by stamping the carriage image, in Jet Black ink, on Whisper White cardstock; coloring it with Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, & Certainly Celery inks and a blender pen; adding a little glitter to the flowers...
machine stitching a pink-threaded, straight-stitch frame around its edges; distressing it with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; and matting it with Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery cardstocks.
I, then, wrapped a striped, Pink Pirouette ribbon, around the prepped piece, just below the stamped image and tied it, in a bow, just right of center.
Before it was adhered, with dimensionals, to the Pink Pirouette, cardstock, card base, I stamped the card base, in Moonlight White ink, with polka dots, as well as, in Pink Pirouette ink, with the "hello little baby {welcome home!}" sentiment and distressed its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks.
My inspiration, for this card, came from The Shabby Tea Room's Week #42: Shabby Chic Baby.
Thanks, as always, for making your way over to my neck of the woods!  Have a wonderful rest of your holiday weekend!
