Wplus9 Feb. Release Sneak Peeks: Day 1

Thursday, January 27, 2011

Welcome to Wplus9 Design's February, Release, Sneak Peeks: Day 1!  Sooo stinkin' excited to be back!  I am, beyond, thrilled to have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of this uber talented team, over the last six months, and even more so, today, to tell you all that I will be filling a permanent position here.  Eeek!  I cannot believe I'm even typing that!  Sooo excited I can hardly breathe!  Deep breath... Anyhow... Hee!  Dawn has three, new, stamp sets coming your way with this release.  Today, we're showing off Flora & Fauna I.  That "I" should give you a little indication that Dawn has so much more in store, for you all, where this set came from.  Do the happy dance, now!  You have permission ;).
I started, this layout,by anchoring a piece of decorative, patterned paper, near the bottom left corner of the distressed, patterned, paper base, with brown-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
After adhering my photographs, one of which was cut in a circle shape and framed with a white, paper doily, I trimmed their right sides with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, which had been stamped, in Chocolate Chip ink, with the journaling lines from From the Kitchen Of; distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; spritzed with Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake inks; and trimmed, down its right side with a punched piece of green, patterned paper.  I, then, used the stamped line to journal, One afternoon late in June (6.27.09), we spotted these gorgeous fawns in our neighbor's backyard.  They had our undivided attention, until something spooked them into the woods across the street.  I just love where we live!
A color-coordinating label; a few, layered staples; and a "NEW", which was made from alpha chips, "neighbors", which was created from green, alpha stickers and anchored with brown-threaded, messy stitches, title, prep the page for stamping.
All the images were stamped, in Jet Black ink, on Whisper White cardstock.  Check out the detail!
Then, the butterflies were colored in Barely Banana ink, and the dogwoods were colored in Tattered Rose, Wild Wasabi, & Barely Banana inks. All images were hand cut out and adhered in their respective locations, some flat to the layout's surface and others with dimensionals, to complete the look.
Well, that's it, from me, today, but the other girls have lots of fabulous creations for you to check out.  So, be sure to stop by their blogs and leave them some love.  Thanks so much for peeking in!  Until tomorrow, have a fantastic Friday!
