PDCC68

Welcome back for another, gorgeous color story, specifically for Challenge #68, in The Play Date Cafe!
There's a PDCC grab bag up for grabs for one, fantastically-inspired creation.  Now, how's about a little something to help inspire you to get started with that gorgeous, vintage-inspired graphic above?
I started this card by stamping the text, in Crumb Cake ink, on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock; stamping over it, in Pink Pirouette ink, with the flourish images; punching it down its left side; and distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, before adhering it to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.  I, then, ran a pink-threaded, straight, machine-stitched, double frame around three of its four edges, running over onto the card face itself on the top and bottom, left ends.  A strip of light pink, polka dot, patterned paper was, then, adhered, horizontally, near the bottom of the prepped piece, after tucking a white, paper doily under its top edge, and anchored with pink-threaded, straight stitches, across its top and bottom edges, running over onto the card face.
I, then, wrapped a striped, Pink Pirouette ribbon, around the card face, over the patterned, paper strip; tied it, in a bow, to the left side of the card face; and embellished it with a couple of cream, heart, stick pins; a pink, rose, chipboard button, laced with hemp twine; and a pink, paper rose.
Finally, I white embossed the letters, to spell my "LOVE" sentiment, on hearts punched from a pink, heart, patterned paper; adhered them, with dimensionals, in a banner-like fashion, in the top left corner; and embellished between each, as well as at either end, with pearls, before distressing the edges of the card face with Ivory White, acrylic paint and a dry brush...
to complete the look.
That's all from me, but please, don't forget to run check out all the other beautiful creations, which were made, especially for you, by the rest of our creative design team.  Then, run get those entries linked up by 11:59 pm EST next Tuesday, February 15, 2011.  Have a terrific Thursday, everyone!

AND we're so excited to have the uber talented Kazan Clark guest designing, with us, for this challenge.  I've been a HUGE fan of Kazan's elegant designs, since I was first introduced to her sweet face and amazing craftiness through the, now, retired, 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge Blog but have only recently begun following her blog.  What's wrong with me?!  Sometimes life just gets in the way.  Anyway, please be sure to leave her lots of love.  Welcome, Kazan!
