Scrappy Saturday Challenge #43

Welcome to Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge #43: Live, Laugh, Love, where we would like you to create anything life related and/or funny or love-themed.
Our sponsor, for this week's challenge, is Penny Black with clear and wood stamps up for grabs for TWO, special winners!  Aren't you all lucky?!
So, I made this little cutie, for my nephew's 2nd birthday, to inspire you all in your own endeavors.
I started, this card, by adhering two, different strips of polka dot, patterned papers, one of which was punched across its bottom edge, near the bottom of a piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock.  I, then, machine stitched a red-threaded, straight stitch around its edges and a red-threaded, zig-zag stitch between the connection of the Not Quite Navy cardstock and unpunched, polka dot, patterned paper, before adhering the entire, prepped piece to the Bordering Blue, cardstock, card face.  I, then, wrapped a red, polka dot ribbon, around the card face, between the connection of the two, patterned papers and tied it, in a bow, near the left edge of the card face.
The elephant was stamped, twice, in Bordering Blue ink, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  One of the images was, then, die-cut out with my new, birthday, Spellbinders dies (Yippeee!); embossed around the edges of his frame; and framed with another, slightly larger, die-cut from an orange, star, patterned paper.  I, then, gave him a little, google eye and used the second, stamped image to cut out and create a dimensional ear, before stamping the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment, in Not Quite Navy ink, just under his front feet and adhering the entire prepped piece, above the ribbon bow, in the top center of the card face.
A trio of red buttons, laced with white string, were adhered near the top right corner of the layered, scallop frames...
to complete the look.
That's it, from here, for today.  You have until next Friday, February 18, 2011, at 11:59 pm PST, to link up your entries.  Have fun, ya'll!  And be sure to check out all the other designers' creations by clicking on their links in my right side column or heading back to the challenge link above.  Thanks so much for peeking in!
