Scrappy Saturday Challenge #44

Welcome to Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge #44: Source of Inspiration, where we would love to see projects inspired by any sort of paper crafting magazine and/or craft catalog.
Our sponsor, for this week, is Oh My Crafts with a prize, for one, uber crafty participant, of a $15 gift card.  Yea for free money to support our love!
Now, how about a little inspiration, which I took directly from page 29 of the new, Stampin' Up Occasions Mini Catalog?
I started, this card, by dry embossing the tulip border around the edges of the Baja Breeze, cardstock, card face; spritzing it with Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake inks; distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks...
and dressing up its bottom half with a piece of orange, damask patterned paper and a strip of Not Quite Navy cardstock, both of which were anchored with white-threaded, straight and zig-zag, machine stitches, respectively.
I, then, covered the inside of my chipboard postage stamp with patterned paper and adhered it, just left of horizontal center and above vertical center, to the card face.  The outside, chipboard, postage stamp frame was painted with Ivory White, acrylic paint; glittered; wrapped with a length of gingham ribbon, which was, also, wrapped around the card face; and adhered in place.  The ribbon was, then, tied off, to either side of the chipboard embellishment, with hemp twine.
The butterfly was stamped, in Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy inks, on Whisper White cardstock; glittered; and adhered, just at its center, in the top left of the prepped, chipboard, postage stamp.
Finally, I stamped the "for you" sentiment, in Cherry Cobbler ink, in the bottom center of the prepped, chipboard, postage stamp...
to complete the look.
Aside from the said catalog above, further inspiration, for this card, was gained from ColourQ's Challenge #72.
Now, it's your turn!  Dust off those magazines/catalogs, and be inspired!  You have until next Friday, February 25, 2011, at 11:59 pm PST, to link up your beauties.  Please don't forget to run check out my fellow, design team members' creations by clicking their individual links in my left sidebar or going to the challenge link above.  And as always, thank you, ever so much, for peeking in!
