Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #73!
Our sponsor, for this week, is DeNami Design...
with a $25 gift certificate up for grabs for one talented winner.
So, how about a little inspiration?  LOVED that soft orange, in the color graphic above, but trying to find paper, cardstock, ink, or really anything, for that matter, that did it justice was another story.  Here's what I came up with.
I started, this card, by trimming the barn board, patterned paper, across its bottom edge, with a punched strip of Rose Red cardstock; trimming the Rose Red cardstock, across its bottom edge, with a punched strip of orange and rose, plaid, patterned paper; and machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, a double frame around the sides and top edge of the barn board, patterned paper and, with white-threaded, zig-zag stitches, between the connection of the barn board, patterned paper and punched, Rose Red, cardstock strip, before adhering the prepped piece to the Perfect Plum, cardstock, card face.  A looped length of Plum Pudding, saddle stitch ribbon was, then, adhered, horizontally, across the length of the center of the barn board, patterned paper.
I, then, stamped the flower stems, in Crumb Cake ink, on a die-cut, Whisper White, cardstock label; framed it with a slightly larger, die-cut, Crumb Cake, cardstock label; hand stitched the flower buttons, above the stamped stems, with white string; and adhered the prepped, focal point, to the center of looped length of Plum Pudding ribbon, with dimensionals.
A stamped, in Crumb Cake ink, on the plaid, patterned paper, in the bottom center of the card face, "Thanks" sentiment...
completes the look.
That's all, from me, for today!  Now, it's your turn!  You have until Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 11:59 pm EST, to link up your entries.  I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!  I'm always so impressed and filled with tons of new ideas, as I make my way around to your little worlds.  Thanks ever so much for allowing me to do so.  Before you begin creating, please be sure to check out all the beauties the rest of the team has cooked up just for you.  Plus, the DeNami Design Team has whipped up even more inspiration using our color story.  So, be sure to stop by the DeNami Design Blog to check them out; and have a, truly, wonderful day!

That is the neatest background paper, Jinny! I think of flowers growing wild near a barn. Great job on the challenge this week!
