Wplus9 June Release Sneak Peek: Day 2

Saturday, May 28, 2011

So glad to have you back visiting for Wplus9 Design's June Release Sneak Peek: Day 2!  I've got more to share, with you all, using Pile It On.  Check it out!
I started this layout by stamping the cones in Soft Suede, Barely Banana, and Regal Rose inks on a strip of Whisper White cardstock; dressing up the white space between them with the scroll stamp, from Filigreed Frames, stamped in Baja Breeze ink; distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; trimming it down its right side with a tulip, Starter Strip and down its left side with a strip of pink, polka dot, patterned paper; adhering it near the right side of the grungy, notebook, patterned paper; and machine stitching, with yellow-threaded, zig-zag stitches, between the left-side, patterned paper and the stamped piece and, with yellow-threaded, straight stitches, between the Starter Strip and the stamped piece.
After adhering pictures, I machine stitched, with yellow-threaded, messy stitches, a circle around the bottom picture; adhered two, patterned-paper-covered, chipboard brackets, one above the pics and one below; and created my "the sweet stuff" title with aqua alphas, anchored with yellow-threaded, messy, straight stitches, tied off, in knots, at either end.
The dotted lines, stamped, vertically, in Baja Breeze ink, just to the left of the pictures and above my stitching, is yet another stamp from this set that is going to get a lot of mileage in my creative space.  I, then, journaled, just to the left of the stamped lines, in Soft Suede ink, After the train ride and seeing the sights, we hit McDonald's for soft serve cones and a little tickle time.  We just love visiting and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma.  June 12, 2010.
A few, button blossoms...
and a yellow, arrow sticker, stamped, in Soft Suede ink, with the "Pile it on..." subtitle, complete the look.
Further inspiration for this layout came from this January 2011 PageMap, courtesy of Becky Fleck.
That's all, for today, folks; but I'll be back, tomorrow, with another layout, boasting more from both Pile It On and its coordinating die.  Hope to see you then!  And please be sure to stop on by to feast your eyes on the lovely creations the rest of the Design Team has created just for you.
