Makin' Memories

Friday, June 3, 2011

So, I promised you all pictures of all the summer fun we've been up to, over the last week, with my sister's kiddos; and I'm here, today, to deliver.  They, Hunter and Deidra, ages seven and five on the 15th, arrived, last Friday night, just in time for baths and bedtime.  But bright and early, Saturday morning, the boys were off fishing, and us girls ran a couple of errands and went to the Build and Grow Clinic, at Lowe's, to make airplanes.
Sunday morning, we had church and stopped at Petco on the way home.  I haven't met a kiddo yet that doesn't love animals, and we had to pick up a couple of things for our own critters.  Then, we spent a hot, lazy afternoon playing in the sprinkler and wadding pool...
and munching on popsicles.
Oh!  And we even found and temporarily captured a skink that was just hanging out in our backyard.
We spent most of our Memorial Day Monday at the Kansas City Zoo.
Then, once my hubby went back to work and we no longer had a second driver to get us all from one place to another (There just wasn't enough backseat room for four kiddos in our car.), we walked to the library one day; and another day, we walked to the park.
We also spent lots of time reading...
loving on their sweet hamster, Teddy...
and napping from all the exhaustion we created for ourselves.
There you have it!  I'll be back, later this afternoon, with my take on Embellish's Text Color Trends Challenge.  Until then, TGIF!  I hope you all have big plans for your weekends!
