Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #85!
Our sponsor for this week is Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker.
Oooo!  And that blueberry, cream, and dusty rose graphic, from our brand new Color Story Coordinator, Jacyln Miller, is absolutely scrumptious!  Check out what it inspired me to create!
I started this card by trimming the bottom of a piece of rose, floral, patterned paper with a punched strip of Night of Navy cardstock, as well as a length of ivory lace, and the top of it with a punched strip of navy, polka dot, patterned paper.
I, then, stamped the lacy border, in Night of Navy ink, just below the punched, polka dot, patterned paper; machine stitched, with navy-threaded, straight stitches, down the outside edges of the rose, floral, patterned paper and, with navy-threaded, zig-zag stitches, between the lace trim and the floral paper and the stamped lace and punched, polka dot paper.
The navy and cream, bird die-cut was adhered in the center of the prepped piece and machine stitched, around its edges, with navy-threaded, straight stitches, just before the entire prepped piece was adhered to the Very Vanilla, cardstock, card face.
The "Sending my love" sentiment was stamped, in Regal Rose ink, on a Cricut-cut, from Very Vanilla cardstock, tag, which was distressed, along with the edges of the card face itself, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; laced with a couple of hemp twine bows; and adhered, near the center of the bird die-cut, below a handmade, denim rosette...
to complete the look.
That's all, from here, folks!  You have until 11:59 pm EST, on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, to link up your takes.  Thanks so much for peeking in, and please be sure to also stop by the challenge link, above, to see all the fabulous creations the rest of this uber talented team has created just for you; to check out what fantastic prize you're playing for; and to help us welcome this week's Guest Designer, Anya Schrier.  This girl effortlessly combines colors and patterns to create such stunningly flawless creations, again and again; and she sure knows her way around a sewing machine, ya'll!  So good to have you, Anya!

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL job! Just LOVE this Jinny. I'm not even a big fan of anything with pink-y hues in, but you've converted me lol!

I would love to pop over to have a cuppa with you and do some copics, what time would you like me around?!!
