Welcome to Sketches in Thyme's Challenge #50!
Remember that you're playing, all through the month of June, for a $20 gift certificate to The Paper Trail.  Woohoo!
Now, check out what that fun, clean-lined sketch inspired me to create!
I started this page by trimming the left edge of a piece of black, polka dot, patterned paper with a punched strip of red, leafy, patterned paper, before adhering it all to the textured, ivory, cardstock, base page.  After adhering pictures, I topped them with a strip of silhouette, patterned paper; anchored everything, across the top and bottom and directly under the photographs, with red-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and embellished the bottom left corner of the far left photo with a punched, red, grid, patterned, paper, photo corner.
The "Good Clean fun" title was created with Tiny Type alphas, some of which were adhered to black, banner stickers, anchored with red buttons, laced on a length of Baker's Twine, and gold, fancy, sticker letters.
Finally, I framed one last picture, cut in circle, with a circle of textured, Ruby Red cardstock; adhered it, in its respective location, with dimensionals; and embellished it with a vintage, pattern flower, dressed up with a Baker's Twine bow; a red, "TREASURES" tab; a black "TODAY'S DATE IS" label, upon which I journaled, in Basic Black ink, July 19, 2009; and a "the GOOD life", cardstock sticker, to complete the look.
Other than the sketch above, further inspiration for this layout came from The Paper Variety's Challenge #38: Mixed Alphas...
and my June, Jenni Bowlin kit.
Here's the deets...
  • 8 JBS Haven Double Sided Papers
  • 2 Bazzill Cardstocks
  • Exclusive Mercantile Paper (2)
  • 1 JBS Clear Stamp
