Note:  If you've come here looking for my PDCC90 - Our Craft Lounge post, please scroll down.

Welcome to Sketches in Thyme's Challenge #52!
I tipped the sketch 90 degrees to the right and came up with this.
I started this layout by adhering the yellow, rabbit, patterned, paper square to the center of the yellow, polka dot, patterned paper and machine stitched, with green-threaded, straight stitches, around the edges of the smaller piece.  A couple of scalloped, edger strips were then adhered, back-to-back and vertically, in the center of the left half of the page and connected with green-threaded, zig-zag, machine stitches, before adhering my photograph in the bottom left corner of the layout and dressing it up above with the alpha sticker, "sweet lullaby" title.
A pink time card, anchored down its left side with green-threaded, zig-zag stitches and tucked under the right edge of the picture, and a hand-cut from vellum and dry embossed, with polka dots, butterfly, which was given a green-threaded, messy, machine-stitch body...
provide a foundation for my Whisper White, cardstock, journaling strips, which read, On the way home from basketball practice, you needed a little help settling in.  So, Ezekiel sang you a little lullaby that went like this, "Go to sleep, sweet Adina.  Rest your head.  Go to sleep, sweet Adina.  Rest your body.  Don't cry.  Go to sleep, sweet Adina."  It worked like a charm, and you were asleep in a matter of minutes.
A punched from green, leafy, patterned paper and etched upon, with the 1.30.10 date, tab...
and a bunch of fan-folded, pink, stripe, patterned, paper pennants, anchored at their points of attachment with sheer, white, polka dot bows, complete the look.
Color inspiration for this layout came from Color Combos Galore's Inspiration Board #199.
Now, it's your turn!  Remember that you have until the close of the month, on Sunday, July 31, 2011, to link up your entries over in the right hand column of the Sketches in Thyme Blog and that you're playing for a $15 gift certificate to Freehand Scraps.
Can't wait to see what you all create!  Thanks so much for stopping by, ya'll!  And have a terrific Thursday!
