Wplus9 July Release Sneak Peek: Day 2

Thursday, July 7, 2011

So good to have you all back visiting for Day 2 of Wplus9 Design's, July Release sneak peeks!  We're showing off Hope Seed Co. today, and ya'll, it is literally impossible to count the plethora of ways one could use this set.  It is so overflowing with sentiments, images, and all the little extras that it will have you swooning 'til the cows come home!  Then, Dawn went and added a coordinating, Vintage Envelope, designer die.  Eeek!  Check it out!
I started this layout by adhering a variety of pattered, paper strips, haphazardly, near the left edge of the gray, polka dot, patterned, paper base and anchoring them, down either of their long sides, with gray-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
I then did the same for a variety of patterned, paper strips along the bottom edge of the layout, before adhering pictures.  The "part of growing up" title was created from kraft and light blue alphas and blue, ticket alphas and was anchored with gray-threaded, messy, straight stitches, tied off at either end.  A red, polka dot bracket completes the setting and points the way to the pictures themselves.
The "love - noun \'lev\ 1. strong affection for another  2. an assurance of affection  3. a beloved person" subtitle, from another, July Release, Defining Words, which I'll have plenty more to share from come tomorrow, was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a red, decorative die-cut; adhered above and between the top two pictures; and embellished with an "Irresistible" sticker and a Pure Poppy button, laced with brown Baker's Twine.
A blue tab, upon which I journaled, September 22, '10  It's a pre two-year-old thing...
light blue and gray, polka dot clip, anchored with a red, heart brad...
grouping of light blue gemstones...
and black, journaling card, which reads, I cannot even remember what you were throwing a fit about, but it earned you a trip to the "time out" chair, where you promptly fell asleep... sweet thing, prep the layout for the piece de resistance.
All images on the seed packet come from Hope Seed Co.  The frame was stamped, in Crumb Cake ink, on the Whisper White, cardstock, envelope die-cut, from the new, Vintage Envelope die, which had been adhered together and distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, and the poppy image, in Jet Black ink, in the bottom center of the frame.  The frame and flower image were then masked off, and Bashful Blue ink was sponged into the frame's center, before the image was colored with Ruby Red, Real Red, Early Espresso, and Wild Wasabi inks and a blender pen.  The HOPE SEED CO. banner, word "SEEDS", and the price were all stamped, in turn, with Basic Gray ink.  Finally, the envelope was stuffed with a bit of poly-fil, just for dimension; adhered to the right of my photographs; and dressed up with an ivory, crochet doily, to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this layout came from Stuck?!'s July 1st Sketch...
and Color Combos Galore's Inspiration Board #198.
I hope you're enjoying what you see!  Thank you so much for all the love you left on yesterday's post!  Ya'll had me blushing :)!  Thank you, too, for stopping by to see what I've been up to today; and please, be sure to do the same for the rest of this fabulous, Design Team.  We've all been working hard!  Oh!  And TGIF!  Have a great start to your weekends!
