PDCC96 - Market Street Stamps

Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #96!
Our sponsor for this week is Market Street Stamps...
who overwhelming blessed each of us designers with the stamp set of our choice.  Thank you so very much, Market Street Stamps!  I picked Cheep Talk and, combined with that mint, ivory, and coral color story above, created this.
I started this layout by trimming the top edge of a piece of coral and mint, polka dot, patterned paper with a scalloped strip of mint, glitter paper and the bottom edge with a solid strip of mint, patterned paper, as well as a stamped, in Cameo Coral ink, on Very Vanilla cardstock, scalloped edge.  I used the word bubble to stamp that last edge and purposely stamped it unevenly for a more playful look.  After adhering the prepped piece in the bottom center of the mint, stitched, floral, patterned, paper base, I machine stitched, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, between the patterned, paper connections and, with brown-thread, straight, messy, scalloped stitches, around the bottom, stamped edge, which, in turn, was also glittered to tie it in with the glitter paper above.
After adhering my photographs, I tucked a piece of notebook, patterned paper under their right side and used it to journal, You love to play with markers, pens, pencils, crayons, paints... anything you can make a permanent mark with, but your favorite canvas isn't paper.  It's you own body.  The "funny thing" is... with a face that cute, it's impossible to stay mad at you.
The "funny thing" title was created from coral and brown alphas; anchored with brown-threaded, straight, messy stitches, tied off, at either end, to the front of the layout; and dressed up with a color-coordinating, chip arrow.
A mint, date, label sticker preps the page for the talking birds...
which were hand cut out and paper pieced with woodgrain; little, coral, polka dot; and coral, patterned papers, as well as stamped, in Sage Shadow ink, on Very Vanilla cardstock, leaves and stamped, in Sage Shadow ink, on mint, patterned paper, bird sections and leaves.  Their "Ooops!" and "I'm as shocked as you are." word bubbles were stamped, in Chocolate Chip ink, on Very Vanilla cardstock; hand cut out; and adhered, with foam tape, in their respective locations.
Now, we'd love to see what you can create with this gorgeous color story.  You have until Tuesday, August 30, 2011, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  Please also use that link to find out what you're playing for this week, as well as to check out what the rest of the design team has made with their Market Street Stamps goodies.  And thanks ever so much for stopping by!

This is so wonderful, I don't even know where to start! Those little birdies are so cute and I love the way you stamped the word bubbles along the bottom to create a border. Your stitching is always to die for, too! This is another fantastic creation, Jinny!

Beautiful LO Jinny! I've only just stopped in to check it out... and I see I used the sewing through the title idea like you did without even knowing I'd done it! Love your sewing under the scallop, and your use of those stamps on this LO is awesome - like they were made just for this occasion! (love it when that happens!)
