Wplus9 August Release Sneak Peek: Day 2

Monday, August 1, 2011

So good to have you back visiting for Day 2 of Wplus9 Design's August Release Sneak Peeks!  Today, we've got more to show you with Le Cirque and it's coordinating Le Cirque and Scalloped Oval Frame dies; and I promised you all, yesterday, a birthday card to coordinate with my birthday party ensemble.  So, without further ado, here she is!
I started this card by trimming the bottom of a piece of banner, patterned paper, which had had its top corners rounded, with a strip of punched, blue, star, patterned paper; filling in the space between them with a distressed, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, piece of Whisper White cardstock, which had been stamped, in Real Red, Pacific Point, and Baja Breeze inks, three times, with the ticket frame and fill-in images; and machine stitching, with blue-threaded, straight stitches, the lengths of its top and bottom edges, before adhering it to the distressed, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
I then wrapped a length of red, polka dot ribbon, around the card face, just above the stamped piece; tied it, in a bow, just right of center; and embellished it with a stamped, in White ink, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sentiment, mini, kraft tag, laced with blue Baker's Twine.
The elephant was stamped, in Pacific Point ink, on a Baja Breeze, cardstock die-cut and popped, with foam tape, out of the center of a stamped, in Real Red ink, Whisper White, cardstock, die-cut frame, which was distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks and raised out of the top center of the card face with more, foam tape...
to complete the look.
And just for fun, here it is, standing proud, with yesterday's coordinating party ensemble.
We've got another stamp set and coordinating die to show you all tomorrow.  So, please be sure to check back, then, for more of Wplus9 Design's August fabulosities.  In the meantime, run on over to the rest of the Design Team's blogs to see what they've been up to with this month's release goodies; and thanks, as always, for peeking in!
