Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #100!
Our sponsor for this week is Lawn Fawn...
who graciously gifted each of us designers with our choice of a stamp set.  Thank you so much, Kelly Marie!  Bless you!  I chose On the Mend and, along with that terracotta, sunflower, and olive color story above, created this sweet, little trio of 3-1/2" minis.
Let's take a look at the first one, in that row above, just a bit closer.
I started this card by machine stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, along the bottom and top edges of a piece of orange, patterned paper; adhering it to the center of the 3-1/2", Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face; tying the ends of the stitched thread off, to the front of the card face, at all four corners...
and embellishing its center with a length of white lace, as well as a length of gingham ribbon, tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the card face.  An orange button, laced with a hemp twine bow, and a mini clothespin dress up the bow itself.
The "i'm here for you" sentiment was then stamped, in Basic Black ink, in the bottom center of the card face.
Stamping the image, in Jet Black ink, on a Whisper White, cardstock die-cut; coloring it with Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Garden Green, & Bashful Blue inks and a blender pen; distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; and adhering it, with foam tape, in the center of the card face, just to the left of the embellished bow, completes the look.
The other two cards were made in the exact same way with the substitution of a couple of different colored, patterned papers and buttons that match said such, as well as a mix of images, colored with the same inks as above, and sentiments, including "sending hugs"...
and "get well soon."
And here's that line-up once again.
The possibilities with this warm, fall, color story are endless, and I cannot wait to see what you all create with it!  You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, September 27, 2011, to link up your takes at the challenge link above.  Before you're off to creating, though, please be sure to use that link to check out what the rest of the designers have been up to with their chosen, Lawn Fawn treats, as well as to find out what you're playing for this week.  Until next time, thanks for peeking in, and happy stamping!
