Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #105!  You all wowed me with all your amazing creations last week, so much so, that I cannot wait to see what you've got up your sleeves for this week's kraft/taupe, flesh, and cadet blue color story!
Our sponsor for this week is Kraft Outlet.  So, please be sure to sure to stop by their link to check out all the fantastic goodies they have in store for you.  I found all kinds of surprises!
As soon as I saw this color story, I immediately new that I was going to put together a baby, inspiration card for you all.  Don't those colors just speak baby?!
I started this card by stamping the "thankful" text, in Brocade Blue ink, across a piece of blue, polka dot, patterned paper.
I then trimmed it, across its bottom edge, with a piece of striped, patterned paper and, down its left side, with a punched strip of Blush Blossom cardstock, before machine-stitching everything together with lots of brown-threaded, straight stitches and adhering it to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.  A length of white, seam binding ribbon was then wrapped, vertically, around the card face, just to the right of the punched, cardstock edge; tied in a dressy bow; and embellished with a blue button, laced with hemp twine bows and a stamped, in Chocolate Chip and Brocade Blue inks, on a Cricut-cut and ink distressed, Very Vanilla, cardstock tag, "Welcome BABY" sentiment.
The chipboard heart was painted with Ivory White, acrylic paint; distressed with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; glittered; and adhered, tucked under the sentiment tag, in the center of the card face.  The little, train image was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock; colored in with Brocade Blue, Crumb Cake, and Blush Blossom inks and a blender pen; hand cut out; ink distressed; and adhered, with foam tape, in its respective location, to complete the look.
Now, it's your turn!  You have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, November 1, 2011, to link up your takes over at the challenge link above.  And don't forget to use that link to find out what prize is up for grabs this week or to check out what the rest of the team has created with this amazing color story.  Thanks so much for stopping by, ya'll, and have a terrific rest of your weeks!

I love that you knew exactly what you were going to make! I couldn't think of a thing! I love your stitching--it's straight but kind of in/out...does that make sense? I wish my sewing machine did that! It's great! I LOVE that you stamped that text on the blue--super clever and makes a WOW statement:) BEAUTIFULLY done!
