Pome on the Range

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

I so hope you all enjoyed the Wplus9 Design October Releases and have them traveling to your crafty spaces, even as I type this.  I still don't have a winner for Dear Santa, so if you're up for the challenge, run on over here and see if you can figure out all those past, Wplus9, stamp sets.  Oh!  And I'll give you a hint.  Every line boasts a new stamp set.  Not a one is repeated.

So, back to the reason for this post.  This weekend was our annual outing to Pome on the Range apple orchard.  We usually go earlier in the season, but with my hubby being away on a work trip and our family vacation, it just didn't get done.  It was windy and unseasonably warm, but it was such a great day!
We picked nearly 70 pounds of Golden Delicious and Winesap apples for making apple butter, apple pie, and apple crisp and for just munching on.  This girl got busy doing the latter right away!  Every time I turned around she had a new apple in her mouth!  LOL!
After picking our apples, we headed over to the pumpkin patch in search of a few, unique beauties for our front porch; and of course, my kiddos had to each pick a little pumpkin for their rooms, too.
It just so happened to be the weekend of the their annual Fall Festival.  So, we enjoyed a little lunch and kettle corn, before feeding the ducks and heading home for naps.
And just a couple more quick pics of our loot and my cuties, just for fun.
I'll be back, late tonight, with a brand new, color story from The Play Date Cafe and, then again, tomorrow, with a fun, new sketch, from Sketches in Thyme, to try your hand at.  Until then, have a wonderful Wednesday; and happy stamping, friends!  Now, we're off to the library for storytime.
