I started this card by adhering a piece of green, gingham, patterned paper near the left edge of a piece of Whisper White cardstock and machine stitching, with brown-threaded, straight stitches, around its edges, before doing the same with a slightly smaller, woodgrain, patterned paper, which was adhered inside the previous paper. I then stamped the "hang in there" sentiment, in Chocolate Chip ink, vertically, along the bottom right edge of the woodgrain, patterned paper, before adhering the entire, prepped piece to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face and distressing its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks.
A length of frayed, brown, floral fabric was then wrapped, vertically, just right of center, around the card face; tied, in a bow, near the card's top edge; and embellished with an orange, button blossom, laced with three, hemp twine bows.
The Crumb Cake, cardstock heart and its orange, argyle, patterned, paper frame were both cut with my Cricut; adhered together; dry embossed with the woodgrain pattern; and adhered, with foam tape, just below the embellished bow. I then filled in the heart with the squirrel image hanging from the branch. The images were stamped, in Jet Black ink, on Whisper White cardstock; colored in with Pumpkin Pie, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip inks and a blender pen; hand cut out; adhered, with foam tape, in their respective locations, and dressed up with stamped, in Garden Green ink, glittered, and hand cut, pine needles.
Inspiration for this card came from Paper Smooches' current SPARKS Challenge...
and Card Positioning Systems' Sketch #241.
Tomorrow's Friday, ya'll! Woohoo! Have a good one, and thanks so much for dropping by my little neck of the woods!
