Just popping back in with Sketches in Thyme's Challenge #58.
I cannot tell you how much I LOVE multi-photo sketches, and I had the absolute perfect pics for this beauty!  Check it out!
I started this layout by machine-stitching, with lavender-threaded, messy stitches, a big square, right in the center of my polka dot, patterned paper.  I then adhered a strip of teal, plaid, patterned paper over its bottom half; trimmed it, across its top edge, with a strip of teal, floral, patterned paper, which had been partially dressed up with a Crumb Cake, cardstock scallop; and machine stitched around its edges with lavender-threaded, zig-zag stitches and across the horizontal lengths of the teal, floral strip with lavender-threaded, straight stitches, before using the prepped section as the foundation upon which I stacked my photographs, as well as the background for the last half of my "everything i do i do it for YOU" title.
The first half was created from kraft, mini alphas, but the second half is a story all of its own.  I stamped each individual letter, in Lavender Lace ink, on hand-cut, canvas banners.  I then draped them over mini hangers; hung them on a double length of Lilac Twine, which was stretched across the length of the teal, floral, patterned, paper strip and anchored, at either end, with a couple of staples; and dressed them with a lavender, polka dot bow; mini, snowflake embellishment; mini clothespin; and a purple, button blossom, laced with a hemp twine bow.
A portion of a white, floral doily, which I snatched off a dessert, trio platter at Olive Garden, was anchored with lavender-threaded, straight stitches and dressed up with a white, "love" sticker, which was framed with a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock and adhered with foam tape, to complete the bottom half of the layout.
A brown, scalloped label, filled in with the December 6, 2008 date and embellished with a purple button, laced with hemp twine, preps the page for the finishing detail.
I stamped a handful of snowflakes down the vertical length of the left half of the page and gave them a little shine with Perfect Pearls.
Further inspiration for this layout came from Scrap It With a Song's Everything I Do, by Bryan Adams, Challenge and The Color Room's Palette #79: {Family Room}.
There you have it!  Please be sure to stop by the challenge link above to check out what the rest of the team has been up to, as well as to find out what you're playing for this month.  Then, you have until the close of the month, on Monday, October 31, 2011, to link up your takes over in the right-hand column of the Sketches in Thyme Blog.  I cannot wait to see what you all create!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a fabulous Thursday!
