Wplus9 October Release: Day 2

Saturday, October 8, 2011

Welcome back to my own personal, due to being gone on our family vacation during the release, Wplus9 Design October Release.  I'm combining Fair Isle Backgrounds, from yesterday's post, with another new release, Winter Wishes, for you all, on this beautiful, fall day.
Set of 10 high-quality, photopolymer stamps
7 images and 3 sentiments
Size: 4" x 6"
Price: $13

Isn't it just so fun?!  LOVE those darling mittens!  And I've got a goody for you, coming tomorrow, using all those fabulous patterned circles.  So, please, come on back and check it out; but for now, I'd love for you to feast your eyes upon this monochromatic creation.

I started this card by using Fair Isle Backgrounds to stamp, in Basic Blue and White inks, on Crumb Cake cardstock, that yummy background.  The possibilities, with this set, are truly endless!  I then machine-stitched, around its edges, with white-threaded, straight stitches, tied off, to the front of the prepped piece, at all four corners, before adhering it to the Whisper White, cardstock, card face.

A length of blue, gingham ribbon was then wrapped, vertically, around the left half of the card face; tied, in a bow, just above horizontal center; and embellished with a snowflake charm; a wood button, laced with a white string bow; and a stamped, in Basic Black ink, over a stamped, in Brilliant Blue ink, image, from Fair Isle Backgrounds, "Sending warm WINTER wishes", from Winter Wishes, sentiment.  The latter of which was applied to a Cricut-cut, from Whisper White cardstock, and distressed, with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks, tag.

Finally, I stamped the mittens and their string, from Winter Wishes, in Brilliant Blue ink, on a Whisper White, cardstock die-cut, using the Label Layers 3 die; ink distressed its edges; and adhered it, with foam tape, just below and shifted to the right of the embellished bow.

There you have it!  Let me remind you that not only is this month's release already available in the Wplus9 Design Online Store, but you can also find a fabulous display of papercrafted beauty on each of the rest of the design team's blogs.  So, please, head on over to the Design Blog, if you haven't done so already, to be ushered in the right direction to check them all out, or you can also click on their individual links in my left sidebar.  Thanks so much for dropping by, and I hope to see you all back here, around the same time, tomorrow.  Until then, be blessed!  Oh!  And don't forget that you have until the close of tomorrow CST to link up your entries on my Wplus9-sponsored WCMD Color Challenge!  Hugs!
