MFW: Pay It Forward Challenge & SSC38

Good morning!  We've got a busy day ahead, so I'm just going to get right to the card creation I promised you all in yesterday's Weekend Snapshots post.
I started this card by framing a piece of red, lace, patterned paper with a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock and dressing it up, near its right edge, with a punched piece of notebook, patterned paper, which had been stamped, in Crumb Cake ink, with a leafy flourish and trimmed, down its left side with a strip of pink, heart, patterned paper, which was machine stitched, with purple-threaded, straight stitches, down the lengths of its vertical sides.
I then trimmed the bottom edge of a strip of red, star, patterned paper with a punched strip of Perfect Plum cardstock; anchored it, just above that punched strip, with two rows of purple-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and topped it with a length of pink, gingham ribbon, which was wrapped around the prepped piece and tied, in a bow, just left of vertical center, before adhering the entire piece to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
A length of kraft lace was then hand-stitched the length of one of its edges and pulled snug to create the ruffle effect and form a flower; adhered just to the right of the ribbon bow and below the stamped, leafy flourish; and embellished with a pink, Vintage-Style button, laced with white string.
Finally, I stamped the notebook paper image, in Pretty in Pink ink, on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock; hand cut it out; distressed its edges with Tea Dye and Antique Linen inks; stamped the "A MISTAKE IS SIMPLY ANOTHER WAY OF DOING THINGS. - KATHERINE GRAHAM" quote/sentiment, in Perfect Plum ink, in its top center; and adhered it, with foam tape, tucked under the ribbon and left edge of the embellished flower, to complete the look.
Inspiration for this card came from the Pay It Forward Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #38.
Okay, ya'll, I've got grocery shopping and more baking and cooking to do for Thanksgiving.  Plus, I've got a little box of upcoming publications to get in the mail and some brand new, December, Wplus9 Design goodies still waiting to be played with.  Ya'll, Dawn's got some real cuties coming up, for you, next week :)!  So, I'd better get cracking.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a terrific Tuesday!
