PDCC107 - The Scrapping Cottage

Welcome to The Play Date Cafe's Challenge #107!

Our sponsor for this week is The Scrapping Cottage, where there is just no possible way you won't find just the die cut you're looking for, regardless of the occasion.
And without further ado, here is what that orange splash color story above inspired me to create.
I started this card by piecing together lots of black and white/ivory, patterned papers onto a piece of computer paper; adhering the prepped piece to the Very Vanilla, cardstock, card face; and machine stitching, both around its edges and between all the patterned, paper connections, with black-threaded, zig-zag stitches.  I then white embossed the "Grateful GREETINGS" sentiment in the bottom right corner...
before wrapping a length of twill tape, vertically, around the card face, just left of center and embellishing it with an orange button, laced with three, hemp twine bows.
Finally, just below the embellished bow, I created a medallion from 1" squares of rolled, large polka dot, black, patterned paper and dressed up its center with a gathered length of black lace, as well as a stamped, in Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, & Early Espresso inks, on Very Vanilla cardstock, hand cut, and glittered pumpkin.
I'm also turning this one in for the Championing Award Medallions Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Now, off you go to not only check out the challenge link above for details of what you're playing for this week and to see what the rest of the team has created with this week's color splash, but also to get stamping.  Can't wait to see what you all create!  Please don't forget that you have until the close of the day EST, next Tuesday, November 15, 2011, to link up your entries at that same challenge link above, and thanks so much for stopping by!
